I knew it just had to happen at some point... it's the mark of a true seamstress, right? I hope not!! Luckily it was just in the end of my thumb, hardly even a drop of blood was all it was.
But still.
It hurt.
And there was a needle in my thumb.
I was just sewing away on my sewing machine, working on that zig zag quilt, and suddenly my thumb got caught! I was so surprised that I jerked my hand away, causing the needle to break off. Luckily the broken end of the needle was still showing outside of my finger, so my husband could use his pliers to pull the needle out. It actually felt really good to have him pull it out, there was a lot of pressure there with a needle under my skin!
Lucky for me it was one of my hubby's study days so he was around... I'm not quite sure I could have handled that by myself with the three year old!
Ouch! I'm so glad you are okay and that Neal was home! I'm scared to death of this happening!!!
