Daddy's Shirt to Toddler Dress

Hello blog (and friends)!

It's been a little while, eh? Definitely not from lack of creating things, because that's a norm for me. I've just been busy with... things. You know, the really exciting things like laundry, family, yard work, deep cleaning... you get the glorious picture. I know, I know you can't help being jealous of the things I do. You don't have to try to hold it back. Ha. Here's something I created recently: the hubs was getting rid of this really great colored shirt {the elbows were getting very worn} so I stole it and put it in my fabric stash. It met the creative powers of becky the other day...

for sizing I just traced one of G's shirts that fits her really well
and added seam allowance space

Here's the happy camper herself:

She really does love the dress,
and the fact that it's out of daddy's shirt
makes it the coolest thing ever.

Miss G wore it to nursery a couple sundays ago
with a little white sweater.
She looked adorable.

And her diaper didn't show every time she moved
because the dress was actually long enough.
(yep, still working on potty training)
Three cheers for growing kids!

  2. Becky-you are so talented! Is it really as easy as you made it sound, though? I'm not sure if I could do it, but I want to try some time.
