'Tis the Season

It seems to be that time of year again, when there is just so much delicious pumpkin laying around. And, yes, I do mean that quite literally, but I'll post about that another time. What I am referring to is the other half of the huge can of pumpkin puree that has been in my fridge for the last... five days? Don't worry, it was still good.... Last week we enjoyed a nice batch of Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies. This weeks pumpkin treat?

Pumpkin Bread! Of course with a healthy dose of chocolate chips throughout! I know- this isn't anything super amazing, but it is legit for my blog since it is something I made, right? I got this specific recipe from this cookbook. It's one of my favorite books, and I use it all the time. There is also this recipe for an amazing pumpkin cake roll with cream cheese filling in there that I want to try. Don't worry, that one will definitely end up on the blog if I make it. Just to make your mouth water. And my Tip for Tuesday? Always add more chocolate!

  1. I just made some pumpkin bread too! And I like it with lots of chocolate chips like you. I love all things pumpkin-except I've never been one for pumpkin pie. I love fall desserts! And I really like your new blog. I love crafting and baking, so it's totally up my alley.

  3. Yes it was yummy bread. I had a couple pieces before I went to teach on Monday night and I was really looking forward to another piece when I got home from teaching, but the rest of the plate had magically disappeared while Mark was home alone with it:) Thanks!

  4. I believe it was your Mom who told me that chocolate chip cookies were great for breakfast. They contain flour, eggs, nuts, and chocolate (which is very good for you).

  5. Haha, that sounds about right! I had some apple pie for breakfast the other day, in her honor, of course!
