We cut as close to the edges when taking off the sleeves
so we had as much fabric as possible to play with for around the hips.
Same with the length, we cut across the back at the seam,
and cut the front even with the back at the top.
We used the extra fabric from the sleeves along with the cuffs for the waist band,
and we put them together something like this for the front opening of the skirt.

You are so talented! I love it!! I would never think to make a skirt out of a mens shirt, but it turned out adorable! Good job!
ReplyDeleteBecky! You are the coolest! LOVE!!

Way cute! You are totally cooler then me. I want to figure out something to do with one of Brad's shirts or pants for Leah, but I'm not sure what. (I'm making a big quilt out of all his clothes) I was thinking a pillow or a wall hanging or a teddy bear? ? You're crafty. If you think of any cool ideas, let me know.
ReplyDeleteTahsha, a teddy bear would be SO adorable. What a great idea!
